Golf sculptor draws on a patriotic icon for this golf trophy

Golf sculptor Malcolm DeMille (cousin to the iconic Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille) creates magnificent golf trophies, many of which are a familiar sight at the 18th hole of major PGA and LPGA tours. His stunning golf trophy for the AT&T National Hosted by Tiger Woods draws on Americana architecture.

The winner’s trophy is an incredibly intricate, scale version of our US Capitol building. Presented to the tournament’s champion each year (by Tiger Woods the host; sometimes to himself!) the AT&T National trophy stands symbolic in its design and timing… it is awarded during the 4th of July weekend in the Washington, D.C. area.
